throughout the summer, and Harriers training in Autumn.
Private winter coaching is also available.
Social Membership
Social memberships are perfect for children who are new to athletics. Sessions run from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Thursday Club Nights from 15th October to 17th December 2026. Social members are eligible to take part in the Colgate Games and the Alexandra and Wānaka Country Meets. Social memberships do not allow participation in Saturday club competitions or competitions outside of Wānaka, like those in Dunedin.
For children aged 7 and older, as at 31st December 2026, it is possible to upgrade to a Competitive membership mid-season and continue training until March 2027. A Competitve membership allows participation in events like the Mini Multis and Otago Champs in Dunedin. It possible for Grade 6 athletes to upgrade their membership, but please check in with us first to make sure this is the right option.

Competitive Membership
This membership is for athletes aged 7 and above, as at 31st December 2026, who want to compete beyond local Country Meets. It is recommended that athletes have participated in one social season before registering as competitive. Coaching sessions run from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Thursday Club Nights from 15th October to 25th March 2027. Competitive athletes are eligible to compete in our club comp days and are expected to participate in at least two of the following events:
-
Mini Multis - Dunedin (November)
-
Colgate Games - Invercargill (January)
-
Otago Champs - Dunedin (March)
With these events being outside of Central Otago, travel is a consideration. The club has a travel fund and may be able to assist with some travel costs. If you would like to register as a competitive athlete but travel costs may be a hurdle, please contact us to discuss carpooling, minivan options, or shared accommodation to help reduce costs.
